Our mission is to provide services to help people cope with loss and grief as the result of the death of someone they love.
Bereaved Families of Cape Breton is a registered non-profit organization serving the people of the CBRM who are grieving as the result of the death of someone they love. Since its inception in 1990, BFOCB has helped thousands of people by providing a wide range of programming designed to help people move through and beyond grief.
Bereaved Families of Cape Breton (BFOCB) is a registered non-profit organization that operates under the direction of a volunteer board of directors, volunteer facilitators and two employees. Services include monthly Support & Share Sessions, Grief-Specific programs: Loss of a Spouse/Partner, Loss of a Parent, Loss of a Child, Loss of a Pet, Adolescent Grief Support as well as Healing Through Movement and Music and Meditation and Yoga.
